“ While out house hunting this morning, my wife and me came across the Forest Restaurant. We're from Houma, where there are plenty of Cajun restaurants. We were curious to try a new place that promises Cajun cuisine. We were impressed. Tiffany, our server, took care of our table. She was very knowledgeable about the menu items. Everything was great, from the appetizer to the entree. The food was flavorful, and the portion size was good. The place was clean and seating was abundant. Do yourself a favor and stop by this place. It's southern hospitality and Cajun cuisine in one place. ”
“ This is a hidden jewel. We came off the interstate only to find that it was in a motel. We weren’t expecting much but the crab cakes were a treat! ”
“ The Forest in Franklin has such a good breakfast! I absolutely love the cheesy hashbrowns—they’re my favorite part. Everything I’ve tried has been tasty, and the cozy, down-home feel makes it even better. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area! ”
“ Right off the bat, to whoever is reading this right now, please, never forget, you are very much loved On to the review Still on the way home ... Technically ... Bit we never visited New Orleans so we said, why not, lol ... We stopped here 2 years ago and was glad we did No lie man, the food here is absolutely delicious with a capital D ... The employees here was super awesome sauce as well ... Clean inside and outside ... 100 health rating also ... The whole atmosphere was really nice Highly recommend ”
“ Good service, I enjoyed my first visit here. I had the grilled shrimp Alfredo. Nice presentation, tasty shrimp in a good sauce. The angel hair pasta was cut short giving it a strange texture but over all it was good. Worth a trip to Franklin. ”
“ I cannot say enough about this wonderful place! From the beautiful dining room to the server, the food was exceptional! Just EVERYTHING an out of towner would want to try for the first time for real! The food is fantastic and the environment is so inviting. A must stop if you are in from out of state! Especially if you want a great (not good) bowl of gumbo! ”
“ This place is ALWAYS ON POINT!!!! I WILL TRAVEL AN HOUR AND 15 MINUTES JUST TO DINE HERE---THE FOOD IS THAT GOOD!!! lol The waitresses are all sweet and the most cordial. EVERYTHING ON THE MENU IS GOOD!!!!! EVERYTHING! Well...I haven't tried the Po Boys...because there are just too many OTHER homemade meals that are worth the calories. The gumbo, hamburger steak, grilled catfish with etouffee...and MS mud pies are my favorites...along with the red beans and rice and the spaghetti and meatballs. ”
“ Food was delicious I got the bacon wrapped shrimp but didn't think to take a picture. All in all I had a great experience, first time dining here and from the time I walked in until I left the staff that I came I contact with made me feel welcome. If I find myself in the area again I will definitely dine here and try some of the other items on the menu, the red beans and grilled pork chops is what I came for. ”
